After a football match called “Copa del Rey” between two teams, “Compostela” and “Deportivo”, violent clashes between members of both clubs took place. Manuel was a “Deportivo” supporter and after the match and once outside the stadium, he saw a group of people, allegedly members of the radical hooligan group supporters of “Deportivo” called “Riazor Blues”. They were brutally beating a young boy who wore a shirt of the opposing team (“Compostela”). After reproach their attitude, one of the attackers turned on him and kicked him on the back. This action caused a severe breaking of his spleen and death.
